We provide individual, tailor-made Spanish tutoring.
We will be happy to help you with tutoring also in Darlington.
We test the student’s knowledge, and using the results of
placement tests and any other requirements, we prepare a study plan, and online tutoring can begin next week.
Tutoring can have a different focus and also length. One lesson lasts 45 minutes, but some people prefer a two-hour
lesson (90 minutes) or even longer blocks. Courses are always individual, so you don’t have to wait for the
course to open. You can start at any time. The course length and lesson intensity depend on you. Some people
choose the so-called „quick help“ in the form of 5 lessons, and others prefer regular semestral or annual
At School Populo, we can ensure regular tutoring, preparation for important exams and certificates, but we can also help with translations, interpreting, or proofreading. Whether you need help improving your knowledge of the subject for school or work, or just for your own interest, we are here for you.
We help students with complex topics at school or with homework. We will prepare them for ongoing tests or help catch up with missed topics. We can prepare you for GCSE, A-LEVELS, and other exams.
Together with the methodological centre, our tutors will draw up a study plan for each student and regularly supplement materials for home practice.
Our sophisticated online teaching system offers time flexibility so that you can study from the comfort of your home. Apart from your own computer and connection, you don’t need any special equipment.
Each of our future students has the opportunity to take a free placement test. Based on its result, we will recommend a suitable lesson frequency and length. After each lesson, you will receive
the minutes of the lesson, the topics covered, and the evaluation of progress via e-mail. Parents and students are also informed about each upcoming lesson via an SMS message, which contains
the lesson date and time and the tutor’s name.
My granddaughter started attending tutoring at Populo
Eleanor L., grandmother
My granddaughter started attending tutoring at Populo last year when she was in the ninth grade, and her grades were like on a rollercoaster. The worst was chemistry, and she improved in it a lot. In the second half of the year, we replaced chemistry with Biology and I must say that the progress was evident. In the spring, I arranged a few mathematics lessons for my youngest granddaughter (6th grade), who needed to improve her grades for the report card, and she also improved. It is true that both girls were interested in improving. If there was no interest, it probably wouldn’t be that good. I definitely appreciate the environment – a friendly atmosphere, and tutors who can work with moody teenagers. After each lesson, parents receive on their e-mail an evaluation, but here I have the impression that there is a tendency rather to praise. This year, one of the granddaughters continues attending Populo.
Many thanks to Miss C. for tutoring Suzanne. If she needs it in the future, we would definitely like to contact you again. She was always looking forward to the lesson. We wish you all the best and, above all, health.
Populo School offers high-quality tutoring
Rachel K., mom of 17-year-old Barbara
Populo School offers high-quality tutoring. My daughter didn’t understand Economics and had an aversion to it. Thanks to the tutor chosen by School Populo, she not only understood the subject, but she also began to enjoy it and be interested in it! This is even more than what School Populo offers. Thank you very much.
The story of Lucas - Spanish for the little ones
Six-year-old Lucas and I were going on a longer stay abroad, and we wanted our son to learn at least some basics of Spanish. Our boy was in pre-school age, so he couldn't read or write much. Therefore, the classes were approached in such a way that he learned as much as possible. So they prepared a range of fun games, songs, and poems for him, and the tutor spoke only in Spanish. The “total physical response” (TPR) method, which involves the whole body in the lessons and children fix the words by showing them in motion, has also proved very useful. Lucas learned quickly, and we noticed his progress very soon. And because Lucas, of course, had to go to school abroad, we used this method to learn the basics of reading and writing. We were very satisfied, and we can confirm that we really like the individual and intensive approach.
I have a boy who is 17 and struggles with high school physics
Vicky Z., Matthew's mom
I have a boy who is 17 and struggles with high school physics. I was looking for tutoring but without any results. And then I came across School Populo. It’s true that he didn’t manage to finish the school year, but we’re not giving up. I believe that he will succeed now, thanks to a deeper understanding.
We really appreciate the cooperation with your school
We really appreciate the cooperation with your school. We are very satisfied with the services provided, and we will be very happy if our scholarship holders and students who turn to us outside the scholarship program are able to continue to use them.
My son Dominic was getting prepared for resit
My son Dominic was taking your classes to get prepared for a resit from physics and chemistry. He passed both resits successfully and is advancing to the next grade. I would like to thank you; without your tutoring, he would not be able to do so. My husband and I were looking for quality tutoring, but we weren’t satisfied until we found your School. Thanks again. I will definitely recommend your services to others.
Japanese language learning
To learn Japanese, I was looking for an institution that is able to offer me maximum variability of dates at an acceptable price. I found School Populo, which met my needs both in search of the optimal teaching time and acceptable financial conditions. Communication with the institution has always been fast; the performance of the staff in charge of providing a particular tutor was welcoming and correct.
I would like to express my great thanks for preparing me for my high school resit
Simone T., student
I would like to express my great thanks for preparing me for my high school resit, which took place at the end of August this year and which I successfully passed. In particular, I would like to thank my tutor Věra, who paid close attention to me throughout the tutoring and provided me with sufficient materials for home preparation. Thank you very much for the preparation, experience, and pleasant cooperation.
I wanted to thank your tutors for preparing me.
I wanted to thank your tutors for preparing me. In the end, I got to the school I wanted.
Natali study Spanish at Palacky University. Traveling, walking the dog, doing various activities with friends, and tutoring at School Populo are among her favourite activities. She believes that every subject can be learned without unnecessary stress if taught in a suitable and fun way. This is exactly what she is applying in her Spanish classes. Natali enriches her teaching with experiences and knowledge she gained during a one-year study stay in the beautiful city of Girona.
Spanish language tutor
Hannah tutors Spanish at School Populo. She adheres to the principle that “You live a new life for every new language you speak,” which is increasingly true in today’s interconnected world. She is studying her master’s degree in Spanish philology and the pedagogical minimum at Palacky University. In 2016, she spent the summer holidays as an au pair near Madrid. A year later, she completed a study stay in the Canary Islands, where she gained a lot of experience and improved her language skills. Hannah spends her free time with her family, friends or walks with her Labrador in the woods. In addition, she enjoys traveling.
English and Spanish tutor
Margaret's main interest is English, Spanish and English literature. After she had finished high school, she packed her life into one suitcase and moved to the USA for a year where she worked as an au-pair. Her dream was to study languages at university in England and that is why she moved straight from the USA to the UK where she is currently living. She is studying Applied languages (Spanish and English) at University of Portsmouth. She is always there for students to help them and support them in their journey going at their own pace. When she is not teaching or studying at university, she probably plans some new travel adventures because she is passionate about traveling and meeting new people from all around the world. She also loves watching Spanish series on Netflix, cooking and dancing salsa.
