Learning with School Populo is different than with classical language schools. We offer only one-on-one language courses, i.e. one student per tutor. This teaching method brings huge benefits to our clients, and it is much easier to reach the required language level. All our classes can be taught online.
We offer one-on-one classes in foreign languages such as English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Hebrew, Portuguese, Hungarian, Korean, Vietnamese, Czech, Slovak, etc.
Adaptation of learning pace during the lessons to the student
Focus on the problematic parts ones and skipping the simple ones
Overall adaptation of each lesson to your current mood and state of mind
Help with „homework“ according to the client's requirements
You can change lesson frequency and intensity during the course
School Populo services:
Selection of a suitable tutor (you will spend all the study time with the tutor; therefore, it is necessary that you both get on very well)
Study materials of School Populo included in the course price
Possibility of „pause“ the classes, for example, when you are going on holiday, on a business trip, or become ill
Coordinator service from 8:00 to 18:00 and excused lessons 24 hours before their start free of charge
Course of tutoring
Each of our future students has the opportunity to take a free placement test. Based on its result, we will recommend a suitable lesson frequency and length. After each lesson, you will receive
information about the lesson's course, the topics covered, and the evaluation of progress via e-mail. Parents and students are also informed about each upcoming lesson via an SMS message, which contains
the lesson date and time and the tutor’s name.
Mark was a child, according to the kindergarten teachers, “with no manners”. But everything was a little more complicated. Mark had trouble concentrating because he perceived sequence and succession differently and needed to adjust cognitive function deficits. He was unable to associate his behaviour with the consequences it caused in other people, and he could not select the essential from what he was told. This was then manifested when he had a problem learning the basic number series or understanding that the letters follow one after another according to a given order. Exercises that developed perception, remembering things, and the ability to repeat the exact sequence of what was done were therefore included in the standard teaching of the minimum for enrolment. Rituals and an emphasis on regularity and order were also an important part. Mark made a lot of progress in a month, which many people confirmed. He was admitted to school, and your lessons corrected his deficit and made his first grade start smoother.
I highly recommend School Populo lessons
School Populo pleased me, especially with its friendly attitude. It was able to fulfil everything I wanted. I got on very well with the tutor since day one. I could always say what I needed at a given moment or, conversely, what was not necessary. The lessons were held in a friendly spirit during the entire tutoring package. During the emergency period, when it was not possible to meet the tutor in person, the School figured out a way to avoid losing the lessons and hence not falling behind. If you are lost in any subject from mathematics to English, I highly recommend the lessons of School Populo.

Thanks to you, I passed the resit. Thank you for having the chance to attend tutoring at your School.
I wanted to thank you for a great tutor. We were very satisfied
Marcella F. and son Matthew
Today we finished online classes with the tutor Mrs. Lily K., and I wanted to thank you for this great tutor. We were very satisfied. My son enjoyed the classes a lot. Mainly he learned a lot and gained the knowledge he lacked, and improved his grades at school. So for us, amazing tutoring, as you say, “tailor-made” :). Mrs. Lily focused on the areas he needed to improve, and we are all very satisfied. Thank you once again.
Mom’s Story – German for the little ones
It always seemed to me that my daughter Mary had a talent for languages. She learned to read in English herself, so I thought about trying to give her a chance to learn the basics of German at an early age so that she would have an advantage in first grade. Pre-school preparation gave her a chance to develop this talent. She did well in German thanks to many fun exercises Mary did with Miss tutor, and also thanks to the fact that no one pushed her. I also wanted to give credit to the “total physical response” method, which has also proved very useful. I started to see the results very quickly when my daughter at home started reading short German fairy tales, picture books, and catching words from fairy tales, which I played on the computer. We are now considering other languages as well because talent should be nurtured from a young age and the Pre-school preparation method works very well!
I have a boy who is 17 and struggles with high school physics
Vicky Z., Matthew's mom
I have a boy who is 17 and struggles with high school physics. I was looking for tutoring but without any results. And then I came across School Populo. It’s true that he didn’t manage to finish the school year, but we’re not giving up. I believe that he will succeed now, thanks to a deeper understanding.
I would like to thank Mr. Martin for the quality preparation, making math for my son more enjoyable.
Populo School is part of our family
Hannah S., mom
Populo School is part of our family. If your child is not a pure study type, then you certainly know the moments when you argue at home while learning and preparing for school. Thanks to School Populo, our home became a peaceful and quiet place. Our 12-year-old son attends one-on-one math tutoring. The tutor explains new topics that he may not understand. They practice what he struggles with, do homework, and, of course, do preparation for school exams. We are all completely satisfied. That’s why our 9-year-old daughter decided that she also wants to attend math tutoring at School Populo from September. Our son attends two lessons a week regularly. If we need to, we ask for a lesson during the weekend. The tutor, Miss Annie, is amazing. Our son loves her very much and constantly talks about her at home. I have nothing but good experience with communication with others from the School. They always meet our needs, respond immediately and positively to any of my requests. Thanks for the straight A’s on the report card also belong to School Populo. Thank you.
Japanese language learning
To learn Japanese, I was looking for an institution that is able to offer me maximum variability of dates at an acceptable price. I found School Populo, which met my needs both in search of the optimal teaching time and acceptable financial conditions. Communication with the institution has always been fast; the performance of the staff in charge of providing a particular tutor was welcoming and correct.
Italian lessons at School Populo were a great benefit for me
Italian lessons at School Populo were a great benefit for me. My tutor was kind and inspiring and always well prepared for individual lessons and my questions. I also really appreciated the fact that we could focus on a topic that currently interested me (e.g. preparation for a stay in Rome…). At the same time, I would like to highlight the work of the coordinators, who found me a great tutor and who also helped me plan the lessons. The premises of School Populo are nice. I especially preferred smaller classrooms. I definitely recommend Italian.
Hannah is just finishing her first “school year” at School Populo. She’s a graduate of Judaism at Palacky University. As part of her studies, she had the opportunity to travel twice to Israel, where she completed an ulpan course, i.e. an intensive Hebrew course. In tutoring, she values the opportunity to constantly increase and develop her own knowledge based on students' interaction. She is currently studying Jewish philosophy at the doctoral program at the Faculty of Philosophy at University. Hannah enjoys culinary activities in her free time or goes to get energy from the surrounding and more distant countryside.
Japanese language tutor
Marty has been a tutor at School Populo since the beginning of 2018. As part of his studies, he spent one year in Japan (Utsunomiya University), where he studied martial arts in addition to Japanese. Since 2017, he’s been studying a doctoral program Languages and Culture of China and Japan. His research focuses on Japanese linguistics and Chinese characters, particularly their position and tendencies during their use in contemporary Japan. However, he is also familiar with Japanese history or literature.
