We provide individual, tailor-made German tutoring.
We will be happy to help you with tutoring also in Oxford.
We test the student’s knowledge, and using the results of
placement tests and any other requirements, we prepare a study plan, and online tutoring can begin next week.
Tutoring can have a different focus and also length. One lesson lasts 45 minutes, but some people prefer a two-hour
lesson (90 minutes) or even longer blocks. Courses are always individual, so you don’t have to wait for the
course to open. You can start at any time. The course length and lesson intensity depend on you. Some people
choose the so-called „quick help“ in the form of 5 lessons, and others prefer regular semestral or annual
At School Populo, we can ensure regular tutoring, preparation for important exams and certificates, but we can also help with translations, interpreting, or proofreading. Whether you need help improving your knowledge of the subject for school or work, or just for your own interest, we are here for you.
We help students with complex topics at school or with homework. We will prepare them for ongoing tests or help catch up with missed topics. We can prepare you for GCSE, A-LEVELS, and other exams.
Together with the methodological centre, our tutors will draw up a study plan for each student and regularly supplement materials for home practice.
Our sophisticated online teaching system offers time flexibility so that you can study from the comfort of your home. Apart from your own computer and connection, you don’t need any special equipment.
Each of our future students has the opportunity to take a free placement test. Based on its result, we will recommend a suitable lesson frequency and length. After each lesson, you will receive
the minutes of the lesson, the topics covered, and the evaluation of progress via e-mail. Parents and students are also informed about each upcoming lesson via an SMS message, which contains
the lesson date and time and the tutor’s name.
My son got an A in English and is highly praised by the teacher
Thanks to the support of the great tutor, Suzanne K., and despite my son having mild learning disabilities, he got an “A” at the end of the school year from English, and the teacher praises him very much. Special thanks go to Mrs. Suzanne K. but also to the whole Populo team.
We really appreciate the cooperation with your school
We really appreciate the cooperation with your school. We are very satisfied with the services provided, and we will be very happy if our scholarship holders and students who turn to us outside the scholarship program are able to continue to use them.
School Populo and its distance tutoring proved to be a great choice
Magdalene K., student
For some time now, I’ve been looking for ways to improve my English. Since I come from a village and to reach the nearest town, it takes half an hour by bus, my options we very limited. School Populo and its distance tutoring proved to be a great choice. The tutor Amy helped me with my biggest problem – I improved my conversation skills. I can only recommend it to everyone.
Many thanks to Miss C. for tutoring Suzanne. If she needs it in the future, we would definitely like to contact you again. She was always looking forward to the lesson. We wish you all the best and, above all, health.
Italian lessons at School Populo were a great benefit for me
Italian lessons at School Populo were a great benefit for me. My tutor was kind and inspiring and always well prepared for individual lessons and my questions. I also really appreciated the fact that we could focus on a topic that currently interested me (e.g. preparation for a stay in Rome…). At the same time, I would like to highlight the work of the coordinators, who found me a great tutor and who also helped me plan the lessons. The premises of School Populo are nice. I especially preferred smaller classrooms. I definitely recommend Italian.
I want to thank everyone in Populo very much
I want to thank everyone in Populo very much. We were greatly satisfied. The tutors who taught this school year and are still teaching my daughter are excellent
My granddaughter started attending tutoring at Populo
Eleanor L., grandmother
My granddaughter started attending tutoring at Populo last year when she was in the ninth grade, and her grades were like on a rollercoaster. The worst was chemistry, and she improved in it a lot. In the second half of the year, we replaced chemistry with Biology and I must say that the progress was evident. In the spring, I arranged a few mathematics lessons for my youngest granddaughter (6th grade), who needed to improve her grades for the report card, and she also improved. It is true that both girls were interested in improving. If there was no interest, it probably wouldn’t be that good. I definitely appreciate the environment – a friendly atmosphere, and tutors who can work with moody teenagers. After each lesson, parents receive on their e-mail an evaluation, but here I have the impression that there is a tendency rather to praise. This year, one of the granddaughters continues attending Populo.
My daughter has improved incredibly
We have been using the services of Populo for the second year, namely mathematics for 7th and 8th grade. I am absolutely satisfied. My daughter has improved incredibly. I can recommend tutoring to everyone. The price corresponds to the quality; it is an investment in education.
I have a boy who is 17 and struggles with high school physics
Vicky Z., Matthew's mom
I have a boy who is 17 and struggles with high school physics. I was looking for tutoring but without any results. And then I came across School Populo. It’s true that he didn’t manage to finish the school year, but we’re not giving up. I believe that he will succeed now, thanks to a deeper understanding.
I admire your individual approach to each student and empathetic behaviour
Thank you very much for tutoring. Since we first used your services two years ago, my daughter has improved her math grade by two grades. Cooperation in the German language also proved to be very beneficial. I admire your individual approach to each student and your empathetic behaviour.

German language tutor
Charlotte came to School Populo a few months ago and immediately fell in love with teaching. Her main field is German. She studied German philology in Innsbruck and Austria for three years. As the main goal of her lessons, she sees not only teaching the target language but, above all, the mediation of the overall image and context of society, customs, and traditions of the country in which the language is used. Charlotte emphasizes an individual approach, and the client comes first for her. Her aim is to inspire others to teach foreign languages.
German language tutor
I have been tutoring at School Populo since the beginning of 2018. I focus mainly on German, which I have done since primary school, but I am also happy to help students with Chinese or English. In addition, I also do translations. Being a tutor at School Populo is a very creative job. What I enjoy most is seeing students’ progress and constantly coming up with new ways to move them forward. In my free time, you can find me in the department of Asian studies, in a bookstore, where I take care of books, or at home in the kitchen, where I try to improve my culinary skills in the field of Asian cuisine.
German language tutor
Judy has been working at School Populo since autumn 2017, where she tutors German. She has been tutoring for several years at school when she was helping her classmates to catch up. Her dream was to become a teacher, which eventually came true after many difficulties. The biggest reward for the “work” done for her is above all the students’ success, as well as the smile and glowing eyes, which means that they understand. The goal of her tutoring is not only trying to teach the students something but also to learn something from them. In her free time, Judy enjoys reading, skiing, and walks in the countryside; best if her four-legged pet accompanies her.
English and German language tutor
Natali joined the team of tutors at the beginning of 2017, and she really likes working at School Populo. She studies a combination of German and Italian at the Faculty of Philosophy. And although she spends a lot of free time studying, she still tries to squeeze into her schedule as much tutoring as possible. She prefers to teach English, for which she obtained a C1 certification. However, she is also fine with teaching the basics of Social Sciences or History. In her free time, she enjoys reading, taking photos, writing her blog, or taking trips to the countryside with her two dogs. She loves tea, vanilla ice cream, and aimless wandering through bookstores.
