We provide individual, tailor-made German tutoring.
We will be happy to help you with tutoring also in Liverpool.
We test the student’s knowledge, and using the results of
placement tests and any other requirements, we prepare a study plan, and online tutoring can begin next week.
Tutoring can have a different focus and also length. One lesson lasts 45 minutes, but some people prefer a two-hour
lesson (90 minutes) or even longer blocks. Courses are always individual, so you don’t have to wait for the
course to open. You can start at any time. The course length and lesson intensity depend on you. Some people
choose the so-called „quick help“ in the form of 5 lessons, and others prefer regular semestral or annual
At School Populo, we can ensure regular tutoring, preparation for important exams and certificates, but we can also help with translations, interpreting, or proofreading. Whether you need help improving your knowledge of the subject for school or work, or just for your own interest, we are here for you.
We help students with complex topics at school or with homework. We will prepare them for ongoing tests or help catch up with missed topics. We can prepare you for GCSE, A-LEVELS, and other exams.
Together with the methodological centre, our tutors will draw up a study plan for each student and regularly supplement materials for home practice.
Our sophisticated online teaching system offers time flexibility so that you can study from the comfort of your home. Apart from your own computer and connection, you don’t need any special equipment.
Each of our future students has the opportunity to take a free placement test. Based on its result, we will recommend a suitable lesson frequency and length. After each lesson, you will receive
the minutes of the lesson, the topics covered, and the evaluation of progress via e-mail. Parents and students are also informed about each upcoming lesson via an SMS message, which contains
the lesson date and time and the tutor’s name.
At School Populo we were very satisfied with our tutor
At School Populo we were very satisfied with our tutor. Our son made a significant shift in understanding the subject that he struggled with. His tutor was friendly, helpful, and interested in our son’s current subject needs that needed to be explained and practiced.
Andrea B., Mike’s mom
My son is attending high school and started having big problems with chemistry. He found a few tutors, but it didn’t have much of a positive effect. Even if you know the topic, it’s a great art to explain it to someone else. Then I found an ad for School Populo. I must say that the approach surprised me from the beginning. We specify everything and arrange it even via SMS. My son has now successfully completed the school year, and I know that we will continue attending tutoring in the new school year. Thank you.
We were very satisfied with chemistry tutoring.
Paige B., mom
We were very satisfied with chemistry tutoring. School Populo provided us with a great tutor who was able to help my daughter with high school chemistry so that she could pass demanding tests and understand the subject. Thank you.
Mom’s story - correction of deficits
Our son Matthew was supposed to go to school enrolment and was labelled as a “naughty” child. He had trouble learning the basic minimum for enrolment, and he didn’t show much interest in learning. Because I was not satisfied with the approach I encountered in the pedagogical-psychological counselling office, I was looking for a method that would be individual and more human. A friend of mine recommended me School Populo and their pre-school preparation, with which she had a good experience. After a few lessons, I saw the progress and I was glad to have chosen a private institution. Matthew’s approach to school changed completely after a few lessons. He began to write coloured letters and numbers all by himself, syllabify from books and began to show interest in things other than cartoons. I do not regret the investment because this really paid off!
My son and I can confidently recommend School Populo
Andrea V., mom
My son and I can confidently recommend School Populo. From very nice approach and communication to smooth lesson running via Skype. In the end, thanks to the lessons, my son’s 6th grade report card was with cum laude. So, well done!
School Populo and its distance tutoring proved to be a great choice
Magdalene K., student
For some time now, I’ve been looking for ways to improve my English. Since I come from a village and to reach the nearest town, it takes half an hour by bus, my options we very limited. School Populo and its distance tutoring proved to be a great choice. The tutor Amy helped me with my biggest problem – I improved my conversation skills. I can only recommend it to everyone.
Tutors of the Italian language proved to be a great benefit for me.
My tutor was friendly and inspiring. She was always amazingly well prepared for the classes as well as for my questions.
My daughter and I are very satisfied with the tutoring
Leanne T., mom
My daughter started high school and got lost in math from the beginning. School Populo was recommended to us by a school psychologist. My daughter and I are very satisfied, and we intend to continue tutoring until the fourth year.
Every teacher has to start somewhere, and School Populo is an ideal place for that.
I’ve been a teacher at Populo School for some time now. Like any job, tutoring has its pros and cons. To start less positively, especially when preparing for admission exams, it is a demanding job, both in terms of time and head. Both for me as the tutor who has to teach students, be it at seven in the evening or three in the afternoon, I still have to be just as fresh and well prepared, and for coordinators who are literally struggling with the time possibilities of students and tutors that need to match. However, these negatives are well outweighed by the friendly atmosphere, pleasant tutoring premises, and the fact that students do not have to be afraid to go to School Populo, the evaluation is not set as numbered grades, but the tutors use letters to express students’ progress and activity. The amount of textbooks and teaching materials only complements all the positives that the Populo School is proud of. If someone told me that I would have tutoring as fun and I would look forward to every lesson, I would not believe it. However, with School Populo, this idea came true, not only because the tutors are "tailor-made" for each student. Every tutor has to start somewhere, and School Populo is an ideal place for that. The coordinators will help, advise and do everything to make every tutoring a success.
Perfect approach, I can only recommend
I can’t say anything but that they helped me incredibly, basically saved me. Perfect approach, especially from my English tutor, Lucy B. I can responsibly recommend it.

I have been tutoring at School Populo since the beginning of 2018. I focus mainly on German, which I have done since primary school, but I am also happy to help students with Chinese or English. In addition, I also do translations. Being a tutor at School Populo is a very creative job. What I enjoy most is seeing students’ progress and constantly coming up with new ways to move them forward. In my free time, you can find me in the department of Asian studies, in a bookstore, where I take care of books, or at home in the kitchen, where I try to improve my culinary skills in the field of Asian cuisine.

The goal of her tutoring is not only trying to teach the students something but also to learn something from them. In her free time, Judy enjoys reading, skiing, and walks in the countryside; best if her four-legged pet accompanies her.
