We provide individual, tailor-made Chemistry tutoring.
We will be happy to help you with tutoring also in Preston.
We test the student’s knowledge, and using the results of
placement tests and any other requirements, we prepare a study plan, and online tutoring can begin next week.
Tutoring can have a different focus and also length. One lesson lasts 45 minutes, but some people prefer a two-hour
lesson (90 minutes) or even longer blocks. Courses are always individual, so you don’t have to wait for the
course to open. You can start at any time. The course length and lesson intensity depend on you. Some people
choose the so-called „quick help“ in the form of 5 lessons, and others prefer regular semestral or annual
At School Populo, we can ensure regular tutoring, preparation for important exams and certificates, but we can also help with pre-school preparation or preparation for resits. Whether you need help improving your knowledge of the subject for school or work, or just for your own interest, we are here for you.
We help students with complex topics at school or with homework. We will prepare them for ongoing tests or help catch up with missed topics. We can prepare you for GCSE, A-LEVELS, and other exams.
Together with the methodological centre, our tutors will draw up a study plan for each student and regularly supplement materials for home practice.
Our sophisticated online teaching system offers time flexibility so that you can study from the comfort of your home. Apart from your own computer and connection, you don’t need any special equipment.
Each of our future students has the opportunity to take a free placement test. Based on its result, we will recommend a suitable lesson frequency and length. After each lesson, you will receive
the minutes of the lesson, the topics covered, and the evaluation of progress via e-mail. Parents and students are also informed about each upcoming lesson via an SMS message, which contains
the lesson date and time and the tutor’s name.
My granddaughter started attending tutoring at Populo
Eleanor L., grandmother
My granddaughter started attending tutoring at Populo last year when she was in the ninth grade, and her grades were like on a rollercoaster. The worst was chemistry, and she improved in it a lot. In the second half of the year, we replaced chemistry with Biology and I must say that the progress was evident. In the spring, I arranged a few mathematics lessons for my youngest granddaughter (6th grade), who needed to improve her grades for the report card, and she also improved. It is true that both girls were interested in improving. If there was no interest, it probably wouldn’t be that good. I definitely appreciate the environment – a friendly atmosphere, and tutors who can work with moody teenagers. After each lesson, parents receive on their e-mail an evaluation, but here I have the impression that there is a tendency rather to praise. This year, one of the granddaughters continues attending Populo.
Japanese language learning
To learn Japanese, I was looking for an institution that is able to offer me maximum variability of times at an acceptable price. I found School Populo, which accommodates my needs for optimal lesson time and acceptable financial conditions. Communication with the institution has always been fast. The approach of the staff in charge of providing a tutor was welcoming and correct.
Mark’s story – correction of deficits
Mark was a child, according to the kindergarten teachers, “with no manners”. But everything was a little more complicated. Mark had trouble concentrating because he perceived sequence and succession differently and needed to adjust cognitive function deficits. He was unable to associate his behaviour with the consequences it caused in other people, and he could not select the essential from what he was told. This was then manifested when he had a problem learning the basic number series or understanding that the letters follow one after another according to a given order. Exercises that developed perception, remembering things, and the ability to repeat the exact sequence of what was done were therefore included in the standard teaching of the minimum for enrolment. Rituals and an emphasis on regularity and order were also an important part. Mark made a lot of progress in a month, which many people confirmed. He was admitted to school, and your lessons corrected his deficit and made his first grade start smoother.
We will definitely use your services again, many thanks
Hi, thank you very much. Simon was accepted to the school he wanted, thank you again. Cooperation with tutors and coordinators was excellent. I have one more son; we will definitely use your services again. Big thanks.
Every teacher has to start somewhere, and School Populo is an ideal place for that.
I’ve been a teacher at Populo School for some time now. Like any job, tutoring has its pros and cons. To start less positively, especially when preparing for admission exams, it is a demanding job, both in terms of time and head. Both for me as the tutor who has to teach students, be it at seven in the evening or three in the afternoon, I still have to be just as fresh and well prepared, and for coordinators who are literally struggling with the time possibilities of students and tutors that need to match. However, these negatives are well outweighed by the friendly atmosphere, pleasant tutoring premises, and the fact that students do not have to be afraid to go to School Populo, the evaluation is not set as numbered grades, but the tutors use letters to express students’ progress and activity. The amount of textbooks and teaching materials only complements all the positives that the Populo School is proud of. If someone told me that I would have tutoring as fun and I would look forward to every lesson, I would not believe it. However, with School Populo, this idea came true, not only because the tutors are "tailor-made" for each student. Every tutor has to start somewhere, and School Populo is an ideal place for that. The coordinators will help, advise and do everything to make every tutoring a success.
At School Populo we were very satisfied with our tutor
At School Populo we were very satisfied with our tutor. Our son made a significant shift in understanding the subject that he struggled with. His tutor was friendly, helpful, and interested in our son’s current subject needs that needed to be explained and practiced.
Thank you very much.
I would like to thank you. School Populo has always been flexible and willing to provide my son with the necessary tutoring at a very good level. We would like to thank both the tutors and the staff for arranging tutoring and excellent, willing communication. Thank you very much, have a nice weekend.
I would like to thank School Populo
Alice T., mom
I would like to thank School Populo for a very good math tutor. Although he is still a student, his knowledge and ability to teach mathematics are excellent. We will be happy to use the services of the school someday.
Thank you very much again

Ryan managed today's resit obtaining C. His mathematics teacher highly praised Ryan for that she could see his progress. We would like to thank you very much and especially Mr. Ralph, for Ryan. For his patience and time spent working instead of enjoying the summer holidays. Thanks to his well-done work, Ryan can continue to the second year. Thank you very much again.
At the very beginning, I would like to tell you that Vanessa is one of the best tutors at School Populo. With the help of Vanessa and her knowledge, I simply mastered the topics I did not understand. The lessons were focused on gradual practicing with a review wrap-up at the end. Even the communication between Vanessa and me was perfect. Thanks to the tutoring, I was well prepared for the resit. It helped me a lot because I achieved better results than during the school year. So thank you very much for explaining to me the topics that I could not understand. Thank you
English language, physics, chemistry and mathematics tutor
I am one of those happy people who do their job with love. I have taught and tutored at the same time for a long time, but tutoring brings me more satisfaction. I like to approach students individually, which I can through tutoring. My hobbies include reading, film, good music and sports. I like to meet new people, countries, and places, so I travel often. I’m looking forward to our lessons together.
Jane has been tutoring at School Populo since September 2018. She is a student of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University. She tutors Chemistry in such an easy way, so students can understand the context and there is nothing to be afraid of in this subject anymore. In addition to chemistry, she also tutors English, which she studied at an English grammar school and holds a CAE certificate. She enjoys reading, mostly in English. She likes movies and everything related to the Star Wars series. Her other hobbies are skiing and swimming. She decided to tutor because she enjoys passing on her knowledge to students and showing them new perspectives.

Physics, chemistry, technical drawing, electrical engineering and computer science tutor
I have never wanted to be a teacher. But I couldn’t keep that at all. As an external teacher of technical and science subjects, I actually constantly dabble in the craft of real teachers. Otherwise, I mainly focus on applied research in the fields of physical chemistry and electronics. Why did I choose School Populo? Because I want to be a peer counsellor to students, not a beadle, desperately trying to maintain discipline in a classroom full of people. People who don’t care what I tell them, don’t care what I show them in the lab…. who have minimal interest in any educational activities and creative activities. I know that I can make a lesson attractive and unconventional. Then I feel even more disappointed when I see students waiting desperately for the bell to ring and for their escape deep into the big city. School Populo is unique in this – almost everyone who comes is interested in leaving with something inside their minds.
